Premier League: no games relocated abroad, while Spain and Italy are working on it

The Premier League has no plans to relocate any of its games outside England, said Richard Masters, CEO of the English League, at the 2025-26 season presentation in Liverpool (ENG) on 13/08/2025.

"The RFEF board of directors has approved the request made by FC Barcelona and Villarreal CF to hold the match corresponding to Matchday 17 in the first division (LALIGA EA Sports) in the United States," announced the Spanish Football Federation on 11/08/2025.

A month earlier, on 10/07/2025, The Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio has given a favourable opinion to the project to relocate the Serie A Enilive match AC Milan - Como 1907, scheduled for early February 2026 as part of Matchday 24 of the 2025-26 season, to Perth, Australia.

However, the Spanish and Italian associations still have to obtain the formal go-ahead of international bodies such as FIFA, UEFA, Concacaf (for the game scheduled in Miami) and the AFC (for the game in Perth, as Australia is part of the Asian Confederation).
