2025-26 LALIGA EA Sports: all you need to know about the 20 clubs in the Spanish top flight

FC Barcelona, Spanish champions in 2024-25, will be putting their title back on the line from Friday 15/08/2025, when the 2025-26 season of the LALIGA EA Sports kicks off with the Girona FC - Rayo Vallecano game (kick off at 19:00 CET).

The Catalan club, which seems this season again to be experiencing difficulties in registering some of its players due to the squad spending limit imposed by LALIGA being exceeded, will be accompanied by Real Madrid CF, runners-up in the league last season, Club Atlético de Madrid (3^rd), Athletic Club Bilbao (4^th) and Villarreal CF (5^th) in the league phase of the 2025-26 Champions League. Real Betis Balompié (6^th) and RC Celta (7^th) are committed to the Europa League while Rayo Vallecano de Madrid (8^th) will face either FC Neman Grodno of Belarus or KÍ Klaksvík of the Faroe Islands in the Conference League play-offs on 21/08 (first leg) and 28/08 (second leg) to qualify for the league phase of the competition.
