"Stop killing children, stop killing civilians," was the text written in blue letters on a white background on the banner placed on the pitch of the Stadio Friuli in Udine (Friuli, ITA) by nine refugee children from Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Palestine and Ukraine, before kick-off of the European Supercup between Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 McDonald's) and Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League) on 13/08/2025 (2-2, 4-3 on penalties).

"Latest funding partnerships established with Médecins du Monde, Médecins Sans Frontières and Handicap International to relieve the suffering of children in Gaza. Action follows work with children in and around Ukraine, as well as in Sudan, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria and Afghanistan," said the UEFA Foundation for Children.

"Whatever the adults waging wars think they are doing, the children are innocent. But, in all conflicts, they are dying every single day and we must do what we can to help those who are trying to make life more tolerable and normal for them," said UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin, who was accompanied by two young Palestinian refugees…
