FC Bayern Munich - RB Leipzig, the first match of the 2025-26 Bundesliga season, is scheduled for Friday 22/08/2025 (kick-off at 20:30 CET) and will be broadcast in Germany on the free-to-air channel SAT.1 belonging to the free and pay-TV group ProSiebenSat.1 as well as on the channels of the pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland. The remaining eight games on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24/08/2025 will be broadcast on the OTT platform DAZN and Sky Deutschland.

This is a new cycle of domestic rights for the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga. DAZN, Sky Deutschland and ProsiebenSat.1 renewed their Bundesliga TV rights for the 2025-2029 cycle for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and the Italian province of South Tyrol on 05/12/2024. The annual value of these rights is €1.121bn, up 2% on 2021-2025 (€1.1bn per year), for a total of €4.484bn over four years.

Sky Deutschland has acquired Lot B (individual Bundesliga matches on Fridays at 20:30 and Saturdays at 15:30, promotion/relegation play-offs, 196 matches per season), Lot C (Saturday matches at 18:30 and Franz Beckenbauer…
