"We have exceeded our revenue targets, with very strong momentum in consumer ticket sales, hospitality and commercial partnerships," said Gill Whitehead, chair of the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 on behalf of World Rugby, on 19/08/2025 during a press briefing ahead of the event, which will be held in England from 22/08 to 27/09/2025.

The organising committee, whose trading name is Rugby World Cup (England 2025) Limited, said that 375,000 tickets had been sold to date, three times more than for the 2021 event held in New Zealand in 2022. This represents around 80% of the tickets sold in England's eight stadiums. 40,000 spectators are expected for the opening match between England and the United States at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland.

"Our aim from the outset has been to make this tournament as accessible as possible. 95% of the English population is less than two hours from a competition venue," said Sarah Massey, managing director of the tournament.
