Facebook: the Bundesliga passes 50 million fans, 56.8% of which for Bayern Munich alone

The 18 Bundesliga clubs have a combined total of 50.6 million fans on the social network Facebook, the fourth ranking amongst the European Top 5 leagues, according to figures recorded by News Tank on 04/05/2015. FC Bayern Munich, who are already guaranteed to be the 2014-15 German champions, have 28.7 million fans, or 56.8% of the total number of fans of the German championship.

Despite the mass removal of inactive accounts by Facebook since 12/03/2015, the Bundesliga has gained nearly 300,000 fans in total. Ligue 1 (+665,000 fans) is the only other major championship that has not seen its number of fans drop significantly following the removal of inactive accounts.
