FIFA Women's Champions Cup: a club competition between the six continental champions

"In March 2025, the FIFA Council approved the creation of the FIFA Women's Champions Cup, which will bring together the six continental club champions from the full season preceding the tournament to compete for a coveted new trophy. The first edition of the competition will be played in 2026," announced the International Federation on 18/08/2025.

Four of the six participating teams have already been decided:
• Arsenal FC (Barclays Women's Super League, winners of the 2024-25 UEFA Women's Champions League);
• Auckland United FC (NZL, winners of the 2025 OFC Women's Champions League);
• Gotham FC (USA, winners of the 2024-25 Concacaf Women's Champions Cup);
• Wuhan Jiangda (CHN, winners of the 2024-25 AFC Women's Champions League).

The last two will be determined in autumn 2025:
• the winners of the 2025 CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina on 18/10/2025;
• the winners of the CAF Women's Champions League on 23/11/2025.
