Everton FC: Martyn Hawkins (ex-City Football Group) appointed chief financial officer

Britain's Martyn Hawkins has been appointed chief financial officer of Everton FC (Premier League), announced the man via the platform LinkedIn on 19/08/2025. Hawkins succeeds James Maryniak, whose departure "in August 2025" was announced by the Merseyside (Liverpool, ENG) club on 28/07/2025.

Martyn Hawkins, who worked as a consultant for the UK office of the audit and consulting firm Deloitte from 2006 to 2011, was football business partner at Manchester City FC (Premier League) from 2012 to 2013 before joining the club's parent company, City Football Group, as financial controller (2013 to 2016), head of financial planning and analysis (2016 to 2018), finance director in charge of Manchester City (2018 to 2022) and finally group finance director (2022 to 2023). He subsequently set up Caerulea Sports Advisory, his own financial consultancy dedicated to the sports industry.
