Norway: "Profits from Norway - Israel will be used to save lives in Gaza" (Lise Klaveness, NFF)

The Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) will donate the profits from the Norway - Israel 2026 World Cup qualifier (Group I), scheduled for Saturday 11/10/2025 (kick-off at 18:00 CET) "to a humanitarian organisation that saves lives in Gaza every day and provides active emergency aid on the ground," said Lise Klaveness, president of the NFF, to the Norwegian public broadcaster NRK, on 19/08/2025.

"Neither we nor other organizations can remain indifferent to the humanitarian suffering and disproportionate attacks that the civilian population in Gaza has been subjected to for a long time. Israel is part of FIFA and UEFA competitions and we have to deal with that," said the Norwegian leader, a lawyer and former international footballer (73 caps between 2002 and 2011).

• Due to additional security measures, Oslo's Ullevaal Stadion will have between 2,000 and 3,000 fewer seats than usual for Norway - Israel on 11/10/2025.
