Bundesliga: MBC Group acquires MENA broadcasting rights (2025-2028) with 3 free-to-air games per matchday

Riyadh-based media company MBC Group (majority owned by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund PIF) has acquired the exclusive full broadcasting rights to the Bundesliga in the MENA region for three years (2025-2028), announced Bundesliga International on 21/08/2025.

"Three matches a week will be available on free-to-air channel MBC Action, while the opening match (FC Bayern Munich - RB Leipzig, 22/08/2025 at 20:30 CET, 21:30 Riyadh time) will air on the flagship channel MBC1 to celebrate the launch of the new season. All matches will be available on Shahid - the world's leading Arabic (paid) streaming platform. Together, Bundesliga International and MBC Group will develop a joint-marketing strategy, ensuring that the partnership goes way beyond the live matches," explained the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) subsidiary responsible for marketing the media and commercial rights of German professional football.
