FIFA: 2026 World Cup group stage draw on Friday 05/12/2025 in Washington D.C. (USA)

The draw for the group stage of the 2026 World Cup will take place on Friday 05/12/2025 from 18:00 CET at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC (USA), announced Donald Trump, President of the United States, and Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, from the White House's Oval Office, on 22/08/2025.

The draw ceremony, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts "will serve as the location for team officials, ambassadors, fans representing the tournament's host cities and global media representatives, amongst others, to unite, as one of the major milestones on the path to the biggest and most engaging FIFA World Cup ever is held," said FIFA regarding the first 48-team World Cup, whose 104 matches will be played in 11 American cities (Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Kansas City, Atlanta, Miami, Boston, Philadelphia and New York New Jersey), three Mexican cities (Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey) and two Canadian cities (Toronto and Vancouver).
