esports: creation of the FIFAe Festival & a call for bids to host the 2026, 2027 & 2028 editions

FIFA has created the FIFAe Festival and at the same time launched a call for applications to host the first three editions of the esports event from 2026, announced the international body on 25/08/2025.

"With multiple games in play, the event opens the doors for fans and newcomers alike to dive into the world of digital football," said FIFA. Cities wishing to host this new event in 2026, 2027 or 2028 can register their interest by emailing FIFAeITT@fifa.org until 12/09. The application process will close on 31/10/2025.

Brands or commercial entities also wishing to be associated with the FIFAe Festival can also express their interest to the international Federation via the same email address.
