Formula 1: Mastercard (payment solutions) title sponsor of McLaren from 2026 ($100m/year)

Mastercard, an American group specialised in payment solutions, has extended its partnership with McLaren Racing to become the title sponsor of the British Formula 1 team from the 2026 season, announced the two partners on 27/08/2025, at an event organised in Amsterdam (NED) to coincide with the Dutch Grand Prix, scheduled for 29 to 31/08/2025.

The team, which will be the constructors' world champions in 2025, will thus be known as McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team from 01/01/2026. The multi-year partnership will be worth $100m (€85.9m) per season in a deal that is expected to run until "the mid-2030s," according to US media outlet The Athletic, which reported that it is also the biggest title sponsorship deal on the F1 grid and the largest commercial agreement in McLaren's history. The team had been without a title sponsor since the end of its partnership with Vodafone (telecommunications) in 2013, i.e. for 12 consecutive seasons.
