Sunderland AFC: Mike Papadimitriou (Bia Sports Group) appointed chief financial officer

Mike Papadimitriou has been appointed chief financial officer of Sunderland AFC (Premier League), announced the English club on 03/092025.

This appointment is part of the expansion of the Papadimitriou's duties within Bia Sports Group, the entity created to steer Kyril Louis-Dreyfus (FRA-SUI) and Juan Sartori's (URU) investments in sport (of which Sunderland is a part), which he joined in April 2025 as chief financial officer and chief operating officer.

"After supporting the club during the 2024-25 season, Mike will now play an important role as the club reestablishes its presence on the global stage and navigates the opportunities of the Premier League," said Sunderland AFC, who have been promoted to the top flight for the 2025-26 season.

Mike Papadimitriou's previous roles include almost 10 years as CFO of Formula E Holdings, promoters of Formula E, following seven years with media group Discovery.
