FC Bayern Munich: president Herbert Hainer nominated for third term, elections on 02/11/2025

FC Bayern Munich's (Bundesliga) supervisory board has unanimously decided to nominate president Herbert Hainer as a candidate for a third term, announced the club on 05/09/2025.

Elected to succeed Uli Hoeness as Bayern's president on 15/11/2019, the former adidas CEO will have to win the votes of the Bavarian club's members in the elections to be held at its annual general meeting at BMW Park (Munich, GER) on 02/11/2025. Dieter Mayer and Walter Mennekes have also been chosen to serve a third three-year term as senior and deputy vice presidents respectively.

Herbert Hainer announced his intention to run for a third term on 21/07/2025.

• As with most German professional clubs, Bayern Munich has two structures: an association (FC Bayern München eV) and a commercial structure (FC Bayern München AG), the former being the majority shareholder (75%) in the latter.
• Herbert Hainer is president of the club in his capacity as president of the association. In this capacity, he sits on the commercial structure's supervisory board.
