European Top 5/social media (September 2025): 16.9 million new followers for the 96 clubs in one month

• The clubs in European Top 5 leagues registered 16.9 million new followers in August 2025, bringing their total number of followers to 3.1 billion on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X.
• Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports) is the club with the most followers with 462 million, ahead of FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports, 400 million) and Manchester United FC (Premier League, 220 million).
• Liverpool FC (Premier League) was the club that posted the best growth in its number of followers, with 1.8 million new followers in August.
• In relative terms, US Sassuolo Calcio, promoted to the Serie A Enilive for the 2025-26 season, posted the best growth (+23.5%). The Italian club also experienced the best relative growth on Instagram (+51.3%) and TikTok (+73.1%).
• 11 clubs have more than 100 million followers: six from the Premier League, two from LALIGA EA Sports, one from the Ligue 1 McDonald's, one from the Bundesliga and one from the Serie A Enilive.
