Greece: Nova TV extends its audiovisual rights to the Super League until 2018-19

The Greek telecommunications group Forthnet, which owns the pay-TV group Nova TV, has extended its audiovisual rights for four more years to the Super League (Greek first division) in Greece, on 04/05/2015. The contract, which initial expiry was at the end of May 2015, was extended until the end of the 2018-19 season. No amount was disclosed.

"We are very pleased to extend the centralised management of audiovisual rights agreement we signed. In a particularly difficult economic context, this extension allows Super League member clubs to plan their financial resources in the long term," said Giorgos Borovilos, who, since 24/11/2014, has been the president of the board of the Super League, on 04/05/2015.

• The Super League has 18 clubs in 2014-15. Matches from th championship are broadcast on Nova Sports.
• Two clubs have not signed the extension of the centralised management of audiovisual rights as of 04/05/2015: Panathinaikos (Athens) and PAOK (Thessaloniki).
