2025-26 Serie A Enilive: "refcam" to be used for the first time for Juventus - Inter Milan on 13/09

Juventus FC - FC Inter Milan, on Matchday 3 of the 2025-26 Serie A Enilive season, will see the live use of the "refcam" (camera attached to the referee) on the main referee of the match for the first time, on Saturday 13/09/2025 (kick-off at 18:00 CET), announced the Lega Serie A on 09/08/2025.

"Lega Calcio Serie A is, in fact, one of the European professional leagues that has been selected to trial the use of refcam in filming during official competitions, in accordance with the protocols drawn up by FIFA and IFAB, which have already been tested in the recent FIFA Club World Cup 2025," said the Italian league.

"The high-resolution micro-camera, weighing only 6 grams, will be mounted at the base of the referee's microphone headband and will be used during the warm-up, live during the match, when preparing for free kicks and similar situations, or to show spectacular replays. As it is one of the cameras available to television production, it will be regularly delivered as an isolated signal to the VAR."
