2025 US Open: audience up 32% (vs 2024) on Eurosport 1 in Europe & a record for the men's final in Poland

The 2025 US Open Grand Slam tennis tournament recorded a 32% increase in audience on the Eurosport 1 pay-TV channel in Europe compared to the 2024 edition, announced Warner Bros. Discovery, owner of the pay-TV group, on 10/09/2025.

Eurosport broadcast the tournament in 45 European territories, providing 260 hours of live coverage. The audience for the US Open was up 50% in Romania and 27% in the Netherlands compared to 2024. In Poland, the men's final won by Spain's Carlos Alcaraz over Italy's Jannik Sinner (6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4) was "the best performing men's singles final ever attracting a six-figure average audience."

"HBO Max's (OTT) tennis audience almost doubled compared to the same period last year. Triple digit audience growth was observed in France, Poland and the Netherlands with double digit growth in Sweden, Finland and Norway. The total number of subscribers streaming the US Open increased by 86% year-on-year with tennis accounting for 45% of all sports content streamed in Europe during the tournament," said Warner.
