2025-26 LALIGA EA Sports: all you need to know about the 20 clubs in the Spanish top flight

Five LALIGA EA Sports clubs are participating in the 2025-26 league phase of the Champions League. FC Barcelona, champions of Spain in 2024-25, will be joined by runners-up Real Madrid CF, Club Atlético de Madrid (3^rd), Athletic Club Bilbao (4^th) and Villarreal CF (5^th). Real Betis Balompié, 6^th, and RC Celta, 7^th, are competing in the Europa League, while Rayo Vallecano de Madrid (8^th) are taking part in the Conference League.

The three promoted clubs taking part in the 95^th edition of the Spanish top flight are Levante UD, Elche CF and Real Oviedo. While the first two were relegated to LALIGA Hypermotion at the end of the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons respectively, Real Oviedo are playing in the Spanish top flight for the first time in their history.

While Barça dominated the 2024-25 season from a sporting point of view, Real Madrid remain the Spanish club with the most fans on social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X) in September. Real Madrid alone have 462 million followers, or 42% of the total followers of the 20 clubs.
