2025-26 Premier League: all you need to know about the 20 clubs in the English top flight

Six Premier League clubs are competing in the league phase of the 2025-26 Champions League. Liverpool FC, winners of the English top flight during the 2024-25 season, are joined by runners-up Arsenal FC, Manchester City FC (3^rd), Chelsea FC (4^th), Newcastle United FC (5^th), and Tottenham Hotspur FC - 17^th in the Premier League but winners of the 2024-25 Europa League. English clubs thus account for 17% of the total number of teams competing in the competition.

Aston Villa FC, in 6^th place, are one of England's two representatives in the Europa League. The second is not Crystal Palace FC, despite having qualified for the competition after winning the Emirates FA Cup in 2024-25. UEFA decided to relegate them to the Conference League "due to an alleged breach of multi club ownership regulations." Crystal Palace (12^th in the 2024-25 Premier League) and Olympique Lyonnais (6^th in the 2024-25 Ligue 1 Mc Donald's), who also qualified for the 2025-26 Europa League, both had Eagle Football Holdings as a shareholder on 01/03/2025, the date of UEFA's assessment for the 2025-26 season.
