Piracy: LALIGA launches a tool for reporting public establishments illegally broadcasting matches

LALIGA has launched the "LALIGA Bares" tool, which provides restaurant owners with an anonymous reporting channel to denounce public establishments that illegally broadcast matches, announced the Spanish league on 10/09/2025.

To validate the report, it is necessary to locate the establishment and attach photos via an online form. LALIGA then checks the information to determine whether or not the broadcast is fraudulent and, if necessary, takes "the appropriate legal measures to protect the sector and encourage fair competition," said the Spanish body.

Illegal broadcasting of LALIGA EA Sports or LALIGA Hypermotion matches in public establishments can be identified, for example, by the absence of the LALIGA TV BAR or DAZN BAR logo on the screen, or the absence of the official operator icons "with a 'B' in the logo if it is a bar or an 'A' if it is a betting operator."
