USA: Coppertone (sun protection), partner of the federation and the women's league

The suncreen brand Coppertone, which belongs to the Bayer pharmaceutical group, has become the partner of the USSF and NWSL (American women's football league), announced the American federation on 04/05/2015.

Coppertone will use its partnership with the federation for the 2015 Women's World Cup. The brand will launch a campaign using the images of several American male and female players to underline the importance of sun protection. Coppertone chose football because of its appeal to young audiences in the United States.

  • The partnership was negotiated by the SUM (Soccer United Marketing), a subsidiary of MLS Major League Soccer, the top professional football league in the USA and Canada which manages the commercial activities and marketing and audiovisual rights to the North American league, and is the marketing agency of the USSF.
