US Open: best audience for a men's final in 10 years on ESPN in the United States (3 million viewers)

The men's final of the 2025 US Open Grand Slam, won by Spain's Carlos Alcaraz over Italy's Jannik Sinner (6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4), drew an average of 3 million viewers on the free TV channel ABC in the United States on Sunday 07/09/2025 (start at 14:30 ET), according to data from the American Nielsen Institute released by ESPN on 10/09/2025.

This audience is up 82% compared with the men's final in 2024 (1.67 million). It is also the best audience for a men's final in 10 years and the second best audience ever, according to ESPN.

The women's final, won by Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka over American Amanda Anisimova (6-3, 7-5), drew an average of 2.4 million viewers on ESPN pay-TV on Saturday 06/09/2025 (start at 16:00 ET). This represents a 50% increase in audience compared to 2024 (1.62 million).

The 2025 US Open is therefore the most-watched programme of the year in the United States. This edition was also the most watched on the ESPN group's channels since 2022.
