FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025: first matches on 14 & 23/09, Paris SG in the final on 17/12/2025

Two months and one day after the final of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 (Chelsea FC - Paris Saint-Germain, 3-0, at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on 13/07/2025), another FIFA-organised club competition will begin on Sunday 14/09/2025: the Intercontinental Cup. Pyramids FC (EGY), winners of the 2024-25 CAF Champions League, host Auckland City FC (NZL), winners of the 2025 OFC Champions League, at the Stade du 30 juin in Cairo (Egypt).

Every year, the Intercontinental Cup brings together the champion clubs of the six confederations (AFC, CAF, OFC, CONMEBOL, Concacaf and UEFA).

"In 2025, as was the case in 2024, the tournament operates under an updated format - in which clubs playing in the opening phase will compete for the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup on home soil. The home team for the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup are determined on a rotating basis, shared annually between AFC and CAF," explained FIFA.
