RC Strasbourg Alsace: new South Stand (11,000 seats) at the Stade de la Meinau inaugurated on 12/09

RC Strasbourg Alsace (Ligue 1 McDonald's) inaugurated the new South Stand at the Stade de la Meinau (Strasbourg, FRA) on 12/09, two days before the club's game versus Le Havre AC (1-0) on Matchday 4 in the 2025-26 French top flight.

The South Stand houses the players' changing rooms, the media area and an area reserved for officials, as well as seats for the general public. It can accommodate 3,600 people in the various reception areas, for a total capacity of 11,000, compared with 5,000 previously.

This new stand is part of the project to renovate and extend the stadium that has been supported by the RCSA, the Strasbourg Eurometropole, the Grand-Est Region, the city of Strasbourg and the European Collectivity of Alsace since 2016. The work, which began in summer 2023 and are due to be completed in summer 2026, has a total budget of €160m (see breakdown of funding below).
