Boxing: 36.6 million live viewers for the Canelo - Crawford fight on Netflix worldwide

The fight between professional boxers Saúl "Canelo" Alvarez (MEX) and Terence Crawford (USA), won by the American who thus became the undisputed super-middleweight champion, drew 36.6 million viewers (average audience per minute) live around the world, including 20.3 million in the United States, on Netflix on Saturday 13/09/2025 (start of the main card at 20:00 ET, 03:00 CET), according to data from the audience measurement institute VideoAmp and the streaming platform released on 16/09/2025.

A total of 41.4 million viewers watched the event over the weekend (including replays), making it "the most-viewed men's championship boxing natch this century," according to Netflix. "The event was #1 on Netflix in 30 countries, including the US, Mexico, UK, Argentina, Australia, Canada, Ireland and the Philippines, and made the Top 10 in 91 countries," added the platform, which acquired the worldwide TV rights to the event on 10/06/2025.
