UEFA: a record 240 million spectators for club & national team matches in 2024-25

A record 240 million spectators attended club and national team matches in Europe in 2024-25, including 81 million for matches below the 1^st division, according to UEFA on the occasion of the publication of the 2025 edition of the UEFA European Club Talent and Competition Landscape report on 15/09/2025.

Among the main figures contained in the report:
• an average of €22.2m per transfer was spent by Premier League clubs in 2025;
• a total expenditure of €9.1bn on the transfer market, with sales of €9.3bn;
• a 14% decline in attendance at national team matches (7.4 million in 2025), one year after the men's Euro in 2024.
