Los Angeles 2028: Starbucks (cafes) named founding partner with on-site & Athlete Village activations

Starbucks, an American coffee shop chain, has become a "founding partner" and "official coffee partner" of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, announced the organising committee on 16/09/2025. The brand will also become a partner of Team USA.

The group will rank second in the competition's sponsorship hierarchy alongside three other brands: Comcast (communications services), Delta Airlines (airline) and Honda (vehicle manufacturer). "Starbucks will be there to support moments of connection and community through unique coffeehouse activations," explained the brand, which will also be setting up a cafe in the Olympic and Paralympic Village.

"Starbucks will also extend the cafe experience at competition venues, volunteer hubs, and many other places. Starbucks will also partner with NBCUniversal to support the company's multi-platform coverage of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 and the LA28 Games," added the coffee shop chain. Starbucks has 40,000 cafes in 80 countries, including 1,000 in the Los Angeles area alone.
