UEFA: global licensing deal with EA Sports to integrate women's competitions, including Women's Euro

UEFA has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with American video game publisher Electronic Arts to incorporate the Women's Champions League and the Women's Euro into the EA Sports FC game, announced the European confederation on 18/09/2025.

The two competitions will be available in the 2026 edition of EA Sports FC, due for release on 25/09, and "will feature 20,000+ athletes across 750+ clubs and national teams, 120+ stadiums and 35+ leagues," said UEFA. The Women's Champions League has been incorporated into the video game since 2023, while this will be a first for the Women's Euro, although the American company was listed as an official partner of the 2025 edition of the competition (held in Switzerland from 02 to 27/07/2025).

"The partnership reinforces UEFA and EA's shared commitment to engaging and entertaining football fans worldwide, while celebrating the diversity and global passion of the sport," added UEFA. The publisher has held the licensing rights for UEFA's men's competitions since 2018.
