LALIGA EA Sports: total squad cost limit for the 20 clubs set at €2.704bn (+1.2%) in 2025-26

The squad cost limit for the 20 LALIGA EA Sports clubs will total €2.704bn for the 2025-26 season, according to LALIGA, which has published the limits imposed on each team in the Spanish league on its website. This ceiling is 1.24% higher than the last update for 2024-25 (€2.671bn, February 2025).

The highest squad cost limit authorised by LALIGA for the 2025-26 season is that of Real Madrid CF (€761.2m, or 28% of the total), ahead of FC Barcelona (€351.3m) and Club Atlético de Madrid (€326.9m). At the other end of the scale, Sevilla FC have the lowest cap, at €22.1m. Sevilla FC has once again been sanctioned by the LALIGA for exceeding the authorised limit during the previous season.

Each season, LALIGA sets a squad cost limit for LALIGA EA Sports and LALIGA Hypermotion (see below). This includes "spending on the first team in relation to players, the manager, assistant manager and fitness coach (registrable squad, as defined in Art. 38 of the Budget Preparation Rules).
