Ballon d'Or 2025: Paris Saint-Germain's forward Ousmane Dembélé (FRA) takes home the trophy

France's Ousmane Dembélé, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 McDonald's), was awarded the Ballon d'Or 2025 at the ceremony held at the Théâtre du Châtelet (Paris, FRA) for the 69^th edition of the award created by French magazine France Football, on 22/09/2025.

Ousmane Dembélé is the sixth Frenchman ever to win the award after Raymond Kopa (1958), Michel Platini (1983, 1984 and 1985), Jean-Pierre Papin (1991), Zinédine Zidane (1998) and Karim Benzema (2022). Winner of the Champions League, Ligue 1 McDonald's, Coupe de France and Trophée des Champions in 2024-25, Ousmane Dembélé beat Lamine Yamal (ESP, FC Barcelona) in second place and Vitinha (POR), another a Paris Saint-Germain player, in third.

The club from the French capital has five players in the Top 10 of the Ballon d'Or 2025 ranking. They also received the Yashin Trophy for best goalkeeper for Gianliugi Donnarumma (ITA, transferred to Manchester City FC in the summer of 2025), the Johann Cruyff award for best coach for Luis Enrique (ESP) and the award for men's club of the year.
