Fictitious capital gains: €157,000 fine for Juventus, 20-month suspended prison sentence for A. Agnelli

A fine of €157,000 for Juventus FC (Serie A Enilive) and a suspended prison sentence of one year and eight months for the club's former president Andrea Agnelli, are the main sanctions handed down by the judge of the Tribunal of Rome (Italy) following the negotiation of sentences in the trial over transfer capital gains considered fictitious and irregular, announced the club on 22/09/2025.

These judicial decisions follow a number of sanctions imposed by the sporting authorities in 2023, including the suspension of several of the Turin club's former directors by the Italian Football Federation's National Federal Court, and a 15-point deduction from the 2022-23 league table (reduced to 10 points by the FIGC Court of Appeal).

Among the other penalties negotiated and validated by the Tribunal of Rome:
• a one-year and six-month suspended prison sentence for Fabio Paratici, former Juventus sporting director, Cesare Gabasio (chief legal officer), Stefano Cerrato (chief corporate & financial officer), Marco Re (chief financial officer) and Stefano Bertola (managing director business area);
