FIFA Unites: Afghan women's refugee team among 4 teams at women's friendly tournament in Dubai (UAE)

FIFA has organised a women's friendly tournament, "FIFA Unites", which will bring together three national teams - United Arab Emirates, Libya and Chad - as well as an Afghan women's refugee team from Thursday 23 to Wednesday 29/10/2025 in Dubai (UAE), announced the body on 24/09/2025.

The Afghan refugee team will be taking part in their first-ever international competition. The competition will take the form of a mini-tournament, with each team taking on the other three.

"The historic four-team women's football event reinforces FIFA's efforts to promote and protect the right of all women and girls to play the sport, pursue their footballing dreams and thrive through the game," said the international federation.

All matches will be broadcast live on the FIFA+ platform.
