adidas: €237m net profit in the Q1 2015 and €1.14bn in revenue in Europe

The German group adidas reported a net profit of €237m in the first quarter of 2015, up 13% compared to the first quarter of 2014 (€209m), announced the sporting goods manufacturer on 05/05/2015. Sales of the adidas brand increased by 11%, while that of the Reebok brand, which is owned by the adidas group, increased by 9%.

The turnover of the adidas group came to €4.08bn for the first quarter of 2015, an increase of 17.3% compared to the first quarter of 2014 (€3.48bn). Sales in Europe generated €1.14bn for adidas, 27.9% of total company sales in the first quarter of 2015. In the Americas, where adidas is the third brand behind the sporting goods manufacturers Nike and Under Armour, the German group generated €591m in revenue.
