International Paralympic Committee: Andrew Parsons re-elected president for 3^rd & final term (2025-2029)

Brazilian Andrew Parsons was re-elected as head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) for a third and final four-year term (2025-2029) at the body's general assembly, held in Seoul (KOR) on 26 and 27/09/2025.

Facing South Korea's Dong Hyun Bae, the man who has chaired the IPC since 2017 won 61% of the votes (109 out of 177) in the first round of voting. Former president of the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (2009-2017), Andrew Parsons joined the IPC board of directors in 2009 before serving as vice-president between 2013 and 2017, the year he was first elected to head the organisation. He was then re-elected for a second term on 12/12/2021.

"During his first eight years as president, Parsons secured a long-term partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) through to 2032 and changed the IPC's strategic direction.
