Electronic Arts: takeover bid by PIF, Silver Lake & Affinity Partners for $55bn (€46.91bn)

Electronic Arts has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by a consortium consisting of the Public Investment Fund (PIF, sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia) and US funds Silver Lake and Affinity Partners for an enterprise value of $55bn (€46.91bn), announced the video game publisher on 29/09/2025.

• Shareholders will receive $210 (€179.12) per share, representing a 25% premium to the unaffected share price of $168.32 (€143.57) at the close of trading on 25/09/2025. PIF will retain its existing 9.9% stake in the company.
• The financing combines approximately $36bn (€30.71bn) of equity investment from the three investors and the PIF's continued ownership, with $20bn (€17.06bn) of debt financing committed by JPMorgan Chase Bank, of which $18bn (€15.35bn) is expected to be funded at closing.
