Investments: launch of Apollo Sports Capital, an entity dedicated to sport, by Apollo Global Management

Apollo Global Management has launched Apollo Sports Capital (ASC), "a new investment business providing capital solutions across the global sports and live events ecosystem," announced the US fund on 29/09/2025.

Entrepreneur Al Tylis has been appointed CEO of ASC, while Apollo partners Rob Givone and Lee Solomon have been appointed co-portfolio managers of the new entity. Sam Porter will take on the role of chief strategy officer.

"ASC will invest predominantly in credit and hybrid opportunities in the sports landscape, spanning franchises, leagues, venues, media, events and more. The permanent capital holding company is designed to be a stable, long-term partner to the sector, providing patient capital and adding strategic value."

This announcement comes as Apollo is in exclusive negotiations with the owners of Club Atlético de Madrid (LALIGA EA Sports) to become the club's new majority shareholder, according to several Spanish media outlets.
