Arkema Première Ligue: MHSC Féminines acquired by Crux Football, Paul Bouffard appointed president

MHSC Féminines (Arkema Première Ligue), Montpellier Hérault SC's (Ligue 2 BKT) women's team owned by the Nicollin Group, has been 100% acquired by women's football club holding company Crux Football, announced the latter on 01/10/2025.

This is the first acquisition for Crux Football, a company founded by former New Zealand player Bex Smith, whose aim is "to scale European women’s football through a multi-club ownership and incubator platform, accelerating growth with shared infrastructure in clubs" and "strengthening commercial and operational foundations."

Crux Football will assume "responsibility for all aspects of the women's club, including football operations, strategy, fanbase growth, and commercial development. Going forward, MHSCF represents a new commercial property allowing for exciting partnerships," added the holding company, which began raising funds with a target of $50m (€42.6m) in the summer of 2025.
