beIN Media Group: Rita Herring appointed managing director for North America

Rita Herring has been appointed managing director of beIN Media Group's North American subsidiary (United States and Canada), announced the Qatari group on 01/10/2025.

Herring succeeds Antonio Briceño, who has held the position since August 2013 and who will now be a senior advisor to the CEO of beIN Media Group (Yousef Al-Obaidly) on a "short-term role," said beIN.

"Herring brings more than 20 years of experience leading global content distribution and partnerships at TelevisaUnivision, ViacomCBS, and Telemundo, where she helped launch streaming platforms including Paramount+ and Pluto TV. Her expertise in multiplatform content distribution and direct-to-consumer strategies will be invaluable as beIN SPORTS expands its offering in the USA and Canada into new digital and streaming markets," added the group.

Competitions broadcast by beIN in the US and Canada include the Ligue 1 McDonald's, the Copa Libertadores, the Copa Sudamericana, CAF competitions, the Sail GP (sailing) and ONE FC (MMA) events.
