The Brazilian Neymar (Barcelona) becomes an ambassador for PokerStars (online poker)

The Brazilian international Neymar Jr (FC Barcelona) became an ambassador for PokerStars, the online poker platform, on 07/05/2015. Neymar will participate in the first stage of the "European Poker Tour" tournament in Barcelona (ESP), from 19 to 30/08/2015, of which PokerStars is the main partner.

Neymar joins the former Brazilian international Ronaldo and the Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal among the brand's famous ambassadors. "Together we will grow the popularity of poker and show new audiences the competitive, fun, and strategic game of poker," said Michael Hazel, the CEO of PokerStars, on 07/05/2015.

  • Zlatan Imbrahimovic (SWE, Paris Saint-Germain), refused an offer of between €3m and €4m per year from PokerStars, according to several media outlets.
