Susan Whelan has stepped down as CEO of Leicester City FC (Sky Bet Championship), a position she has held since 2011, announced the club on 02/10/2025.

"Susan joined the club's board of directors following King Power’s acquisition in 2010 and was appointed chief executive a year later. Over the course of her tenure, she played a key role in supporting the club's operations and long-term vision, contributing to some of the most memorable moments in Leicester City's history (Premier League champions in 2016 and FA Cup and Community Shield winners in 2021). Her leadership also supported the club's commercial growth and infrastructure development, including the delivery of the club's state-of-the-art training ground in Seagrave, the master planning of the King Power Stadium expansion project, and the integration of LCFC Women into the club's core operations," said LCFC, who were relegated to the second division for 2025-26.

Pending the appointment of a new CEO, Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha will hold the position on an interim basis.
