UEFA: first "zero parking" event tested at the 2025 Youth League finals

The 2025 Youth League finals (held from 25 to 28/04 in Nyon, Switzerland, and won by FC Barcelona) was the first "zero parking" event organised by UEFA, announced the governing body on 03/10/2025. On this occasion, "No car parking was available near the stadium (Colovray Sports Centre), except for two-wheelers and reduced mobility access."

UEFA, in collaboration with the local authorities and the town of Nyon's transport partners, set up free shuttles and reinforced the transport lines serving the stadium, while encouraging active mobility among supporters (walking, cycling, electric scooters).

Of the spectators who came to watch the competition:
• 50% arrived on foot;
• 40% took the bus;
• 5% were dropped off by car (without parking);
• 3% came by motorised two-wheelers (i.e. Segway);
• 2% came by bicycle and electric scooter.

"These measures resulted in no traffic jams, no security incidents, and positive feedback from fans and local businesses that reported increased foot traffic and positive engagement with fans departing through the city centre," said the European body.
