NBA: Sky Italia renews broadcasting rights in Italy from 2025-26 following Amazon's arrival

Sky Italia has renewed its rights to broadcast the NBA in Italy from the 2025-26 season as part of a new multi-year agreement, announced the pay-TV operator on 02/10/2025.

"The new dedicated Sky Sport Basket channel will broadcast from 21/10 a wide selection of regular season games, all NBA Christmas Day games, Martin Luther King Day games, the NBA All-Star game, several playoff games per season, the conference finals with one live series each season and the other deferred, and the NBA finals exclusively in 2027, with deferred coverage in 2026 and 2028," explained the operator, which will also broadcast a selection of WNBA games.

Sky will broadcast the North American league's matches in this territory alongside the American group Amazon. Amazon obtained the TV rights to certain games in the competition for the 2025-2036 cycle as part of a global agreement signed with the NBA on 24/07/2024.
