LALIGA: tender launched for domestic TV rights to the Copa del Rey (2025-2027)

LALIGA has launched a call for tenders for the domestic broadcasting rights to the Copa del Rey for the 2025-2027 cycle (two seasons) on 03/10/2025.

The tender is split into six separate lots with Lot 1 comprising four different options for live match rights (see below). The deadline for submission of bids is 22/10/2025. LALIGA, which has taken over the marketing of these rights from the RFEF, would like to obtain at least €40m per season for the domestic broadcasting of the Copa del Rey, according to Spanish media outlet 2PlayBook.

The rights to broadcast the competition were held by the telecommunications operator Telefonica (for its Movistar pay-TV package) as well as the audiovisual group RTVE, over the 2022-2025 cycle.

Movistar broadcast the entire Supercopa de España and at least 55 Copa del Rey matches per season (including the semi-finals and final), 45 of which were exclusive, for just under €14m per season.
