"We had no choice but to launch Ligue 1+: there was no candidate to broadcast the eight matches not owned by beIN SPORTS. Our business plan forecasts 1.85 million subscribers by the end of the 2025-26 season. This target may be revised if it is exceeded prematurely, but I prefer to remain cautious. The channel needs to ramp up to reach 2.25 million subscribers in year 4 (i.e. at the end of the 2028-29 season)," said Nicolas de Tavernost, CEO of LFP Media, on 07/10/2025.
