Champions League: Netflix interested in broadcasting one game per matchday from 2027-28 (press)

The streaming platform Netflix has reportedly expressed an interest in acquiring the global broadcasting rights to one UEFA Champions League game per matchday from the 2027-28 season, according to the British daily The Times on 08/10/2025.

The UC3 approved its commercial strategy for the UEFA men's club competitions over the 2027-2033 cycle on 07/10/2025. In particular, this strategy provides for the marketing of a lot which includes the global broadcasting of one UEFA Champions League game per matchday.

The launch of the first tender for the broadcasting rights to the European Cups is scheduled for 13/10/2025. The process is being led by Relevent Football Partners, a subsidiary of the American company Relevent Sports Group, which has been appointed by the UC3 as the global marketing agency responsible for marketing these various competitions (Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, UEFA Super Cup, Youth League, Futsal Champions League) over the 2027-2033 cycle.
