LFFP: "We need to match Germany's attendance figures before competing with England" (P-H. Douillard)

"In 2024-25, we recorded a 40% increase in attendance in the Arkema Première Ligue (an average of 1,730 spectators per match). This season, we're aiming for a 50% increase, which means we'll have more than doubled attendance in three years. We regularly try to compare ourselves with our European rivals. With the increase we saw last season, we're on a par with Spain, and if we increase by another 50%, we should be on a par with Germany. Then we'll be thinking about competing with England," said Paul-Hervé Douillard, director of the Ligue Féminine de Football Professionnel, to News Tank Football on 14/10/2025.

"The transition from 12 to 14 clubs in the top flight won't be implemented for the 2026-27 season, as we postponed the decision last season. We were uncertain about the financial concerns facing French football and the arrival of investors, without knowing when this would materialise.
