2025 WNBA Finals: an average of 1.5 million viewers in the USA on ESPN (-6.2% vs 2024)

The 2025 WNBA Finals, won by the Las Vegas Aces against the Phoenix Mercury (4-0 in the series), drew an average of 1.5 million viewers on the channels of the ESPN group (The Walt Disney Company), a drop in average audience of 6.2% compared to the 2024 season (1.6 million), according to data from the American institute Nielsen.

This is nevertheless the second best audience ever for the finals of the competition, behind those of the 2024 season. The first game, played on 03/10/2025, recorded the best audience for an opening game in the Finals for 28 years, with an average of 1.9 million viewers on ESPN, according to Nielsen.

ESPN also recorded its highest ever ratings for the WNBA regular season in 2025 (1.3 million viewers on average, up 6% on 2024) and the North American league finals (1.2 million, up 5%).
