FIFA: call for tenders launched for 2026 World Cup broadcasting rights in Italy

FIFA has launched a call for tenders in Italy for the broadcasting rights to the 2026 World Cup, announced the body on 15/10/2025.

"Media companies and organisations wishing to participate in the tender processes can request the ITT by emailing italy-media-rights@fifa.org," said FIFA. The deadline for the submission of bids is Tuesday 25/11/2025 (10:00 CET).

Italy is the only country in the European Top 5 in which broadcasting rights for the 2026 World Cup have not yet been awarded (with the exception of the pay-TV rights in France, see below). The 2022 edition was broadcast in full and exclusively in Italy by the public broadcasting group Rai, even though the national team did not qualify for the competition.
